FOX CRY
HD video, 2018, 2 mins
Accompanying series of 35mm stills.
Fox Cry is a moving image work that situates the self in relation to Donegal landscape and surface borders.
The artist, in faux Topshop fur, licks the tire marks left from boy racer doughnuts on a country road. In the background, Procklis fish farm continuous artificial strobes stop fish from the sexual maturity that decreases their commercial value. This a piece about desire, the artificial v animal, sensuality and gender power relations.
