Star Factory explores Derry’s matriarchal relationship to clothing as empowerment. The film imagines how Derry women’s role in the shirt factories, a crucial part of the cities socio-economic history, influences the way girls present and view themselves on a Friday night out in Wetherspoons.

Star Factory follows on from photo series ‘Wetherspoons Warriors’ which received the Arts Council Northern Ireland’s ‘Support for the Individual Artist’ Award 2016.
